Break Up With Spreadsheets

“It’s really funny. But also, I think I’m offended.”

Creatures of habit.

People who love spreadsheets REALLY love spreadsheets. And they’re not making grocery lists. The spreadheads we’re talking about use them for mission-critical financial analysis, reporting, and all the other sexy features that.. ahem…spreadsheets afford. But those same people also hate inaccuracies, sloppy version control, lacking security—a few among many shortcomings that plague current applications.

Is this love that I’m feeling?

Host Analytics knew their potential customers suffered from a classic case of the-way-it’s-always-been-ism. Our job then became helping those people find the light. Our audience thought they loved Excel, but did they really? Just because they’d been together for a long time didn’t mean it was a healthy situation. Were they actually in a dysfunctional relationship and just didn’t realize it?

Hard questions. Easy answers.

To get our audience to have an honest talk with themselves, we created a multiple-choice quiz. We devised several questions meant to expose how Big Spreadsheet has been taking advantage (and credit) for their hard work all these years. And more importantly, how Host Analytics could help them move on.

It all adds up.

At the end of the quiz, the road to recovery starts with a comprehensive score assessing how dysfunctional their current relationship is. Where they were the most dissatisfied is where we would lean in with information about how Host Analytics cloud-capable, collaborative, secure, and streamlined solution would change their lives.
