Intelsat
SMP Sizzle
“It’s a product launch, so let’s pour some nitroglycerin on this”
Big changes were underway.
Intelsat—a leading provider of satellite connectivity—was launching a new online store and application to sell terminals and services, and make the configuration and set up of those services simpler. An AI assistant to troubleshoot and improve quality of service was an Intelsat first, and a key part of the program the team was stoked to share.
A grand introduction.
These new initiatives called for something out of the box: an exciting, consumer-style product announcement. This news was part of a start-of-the-year sales kickoff event, and our video had to get the team hyped up before the public announcement.
Room to imagine.
But, there was a speedbump in the plan, one that we used to our creative benefit. The combination of a short timeline, and in-progress UI for the online store, app, and assistant, allowed us to abstract the offer and add some freshness to the production. Our video team developed a high-paced, engaging, slick sizzle video with kinetic type, 3D visualization, and 3D animation that illustrated all three parts of the new Intelsat program.
Do it—and do it fast.
The video was completed at the breakneck speed of two weeks to meet the SKO deadline. With waterfall-style project management and timely feedback from key stakeholders, the end product was incredibly well received. The stoke at SKO was high. And to top it all off, the video was later broken into three separate chapters that focus on the respective store, app, and AI assistant for the general public’s awareness.
