Owning the unknown.

There’s something worse than a zero-day threat—an AI generated threat. AI isn’t just used to write emails or create slop images these days—it’s also being used to find unknown exploits, write unconventional malware, and phish at bulk volume. So, you have to fight fire with fire.

Fortinet has always been at the forefront of security, and that continues with their new suite of AI-powered tools that help security professionals working in the cloud stay ahead of the game by predicting what’s coming next.

End of (the) line.

In thinking about how we could bring this concept to market, the visual that stood out was circa 1982. The light-cycles from CG-pioneering movie Tron—how they moved along a grid leaving trails of light, and could block and destroy opponents by boxing them in with predictive moves. This led to a visual motif that ran through our campaign landing pages, and video and display ads.

We built this city (on AI code).

Another aspect we approached a bit differently was how to show the different features of FortiAppSec. What we settled on was a gods-eye-view of a booming city. Each of its buildings has a diorama showing the product in use, and expands on how it works. This encourages users to engage and learn about the features, sparking curiosity to explore and learn what’s behind the glass.

Educating the audience

Through a combination of pre-roll, targeted Google and display ads, and two separate landing pages, prospective buyers were educated on what Fortinet brings to the table—and what sets it apart from its competitors.
